Andrew knows nothing about what happened in the morning’s lecture with JP. That is why, during the afternoon session, we gathered all the information we could remember about it. We combined our different views and what our minds highlighted from the lecture.


The lecture was an introduction of the idea of ‘ads in the cities’, and what would happen if these were banned. The lecture made us question things about advertisements that we normally would not consider, like being conscious of how many advertisements you can find in one street and how this has become part of our landscape.

First, we were introduced this subject by being shown how in Sao Paulo, Brazil there has not been a single advertisement in the streets, since 2007. A law, called Clean City Law, was implemented and it banned all outdoor advertisements in the city.
